The practice was founded by Gordon J Larsen in 1953 under the title of Gordon J Larsen & Associates.In 1964, he was joined by Frank W Holtom and Patrick J Maybin. Graham Walker joined the firm in 1966 and became a partner in 1970.

The partnership became a private company in 1971. In 1974, Albert Threadingham was appointed a director. In 1980, Jitendra Narsey became a director of the company.

Gordon Larsen an Frank Holtom retired from the firm in 1972 and 1982 respectively. Graham Walker retired in 1995 and Mr. Patrick Maybin retired in January 1997.

Mark Swamy and Colin Radford joined the practice in 1993 and 1991 respectively and became directors in January 1998.  Albert Threadingham retired in 2001.
